Hope and Casey Clark are currently parents of a family of four. They have two beautiful girls (who have both been students in my art class! Poor girls, having to deal with me, haha!) So we might all be a little extra excited that they’ll soon be adding a little baby boy to the family. UPDATE: Clark Family Session, complete with baby Braskey, can be viewed here!
For their previous pregnancies, the Clarks did not know whether or not they were having a boy or a girl. This time Hope wanted to do something different. She wanted to do a gender reveal! We spent way too much time looking at potential dresses for this session and I am in love with the dress she finally selected. Honestly, this dress would have worked perfectly for both a blue or a pink smoke bomb.
I had driven past this gorgeous field at least twice a week for two years. I was dying to use it for a session. The long, golden grass especially looks amazing when the sun starts to set. You would never guess that truly right behind them is a busy interstate! Photography is magic, I tell ya!
The Clarks found out what they were having (I believe) the day of the photoshoot. While the smoke bomb color was not a surprise for them, they had tons of family and friends asking if they’ve found out nearly every day. Hope did such a good job building up suspense, whether intentional or not. Her photos blew up when she finally announced what she’s having to everyone!
Hope wanted very dramatic posing for her session. We drew inspiration from Gone with the Wind as that is one of her very favorite movies!

Oh, so beautifully dramatic!
We had three smoke bombs to work with, so we did a different pose for each one. The second one was a bit simpler, but still just as romantic!
And our third pose:
Then we may have let Casey take control of the photoshoot poses, which is both adorable and hilarious. I’d be lying if I said we weren’t all giggling at this point.
We ended the photoshoot with a pose that Hope and Casey traditionally do in important photos. They have a photo like this from their wedding day! I can honestly say that these two are truly in love with each other. It was an honor to capture these photos for them.
I love, love, LOVE how this session turned out! Congratulations, Clark family! We are so excited to meet your little one!
