When Alicia contacted me about taking Riott’s First Birthday photos I couldn’t have been more thrilled! A beautiful baby girl with the most gorgeous red hair? Yes please! I’d already been loving her frequent posts on social media, possibly with a hint of jealousy over her pretty hair color. It is to die for! …or to dye for may be more appropriate.
We found a pretty shaded spot in a field behind the Hobbs’ house in Hohenwald, TN. Once we decided for sure on a spot, Alicia and Matt whipped out these amazing props and set up the sweetest little scene for Riott to interact with during the photo shoot. I may be a little obsessed with that mossy bunny. Easter is just around the corner.
Riott was enthralled by the scene set up before her, and at first did not want to sit for photos! I don’t blame her, not when there’s so many pretty things to check out. After we gave her a chance to look at the stuff on the table, we got her to sit down. I cannot take credit for that sweet smile; her parents were behind me the entire time getting the cutest little faces out of her!
Riott was not too sure about me at first. It probably is pretty strange to have a stranger show up at your house and start pointing a camera at your face. However, towards the end of our session together I think I had won her over! Hanging out with Riott definitely did not help any baby fever I may be experiencing.
Riott also got the chance to check out some of the cool trinkets set up around her. How adorable is she with this little teacup?
When Riott was done with the teacup Alicia handed her the moss bunny. That was definitely a winning prop in Riott’s eyes!
As you can see in the last few photos, I love capturing the little details. Especially eyelashes! Riott’s eyelashes are so pretty. I’m sure she wondered what I was doing so close to her face, but those eyelashes ya’ll!
I also got in pretty close to capture the sparkling nature of Riott’s brown eyes. Her eyes are so reflective and expressive!
This last one I really love because it shows off her hair color and the adorable headband she was wearing during the session. Really her entire outfit is just about the cutest thing.
My deepest apologies to anyone who was overwhelmed with cuteness during this post! I hope you enjoyed Riott’s photos as much as I enjoyed taking them! This baby girl is so beautiful and so loved by her family. What more could a little girl want? Happy Early First Birthday, Riott!
